Founded by pharmacists

Know how your patients are doing on treatment, between visits.

Effectiv checks in with patients by text or email, a pharmacist reviews what they tell us, and your care team sees the problems that need attention first, before patients stop treatment.

The gap between visits

The visit ends. The treatment is just beginning.

Patients leave with a plan and a prescription. What happens next is mostly invisible: until the next appointment, or until they stop showing up.

  • Side effects go unreported. Patients assume they're normal, or don't want to bother anyone.
  • Questions go unanswered. Portals are hard to use, and phone lines are busy.
  • Treatment quietly stops. Cost, side effects and slow results add up, and nobody hears about it in time.
  • Care teams find out too late. By the time a problem surfaces, the patient has often already left.

How it works

Technology to ask. Pharmacists to interpret.

  1. Check in

Patients get short check-ins by text or email on the schedule you set, with reminders. No app, no password.

  2. Review

Answers are scored against your program's rules, and a clinical pharmacist reviews what's flagged.

  3. Prioritize

Your team gets one queue, most urgent first, with the reason for every alert in plain words.

  4. Learn

A monthly report shows who is staying on treatment, what side effects they have, and how outcomes are trending.

What it looks like

The care team's alert queue. A critical alert for patient PT-00481 is open, showing the reason, the patient's check-in history, the rule that raised it, and a box for care team notes.
Your care team's queue. Every alert shows why it was raised, the patient's check-in history and a place for notes.

What patients see. One question per screen, on any phone.
The pharmacist review queue, listing a critical and an urgent alert awaiting review, with the clinic, patient ID, reason and how long each has waited.

What you get

Not another dashboard. A service that watches between visits.

Software alone gives your team more to check. Effectiv combines the platform, clinical review and measurement, so your staff spend their time on the patients who need them.

The platform

  • Ready-made programs you can adjust: questions, schedules and alert rules
  • Check-ins by text and email, with automatic reminders
  • Your clinic's name and colors on everything patients see

Measurement

  • A monthly clinical insights report
  • Benchmarks against similar clinics
  • Exports to PDF, CSV and Excel

Up and running in weeks. We set up your programs and branding, and import your patients from a spreadsheet.

Built for everyone involved

Easy for patients. Focused for staff. Clear for leadership.

For patients

  • A link by text or email: nothing to download, no password
  • One question per screen, in plain language
  • Stop partway and finish later, even on another device
  • Reply STOP anytime

For your care team

  • One queue, ranked by urgency, updated as answers arrive
  • Early warning when a patient is about to miss a check-in
  • Each patient's answers over time, as a trend

For owners and leadership

  • Retention and medication continuation over time
  • Benchmarks against similar clinics
  • A leadership view that shows totals, never patient records

Who it's for

For any clinic that starts patients on long-term treatment.

Most programs only track whether patients take their medication. Effectiv follows the whole experience: whether it's working, side effects, satisfaction, and the barriers that get in the way.

Weight management and GLP-1

Catch side effects, cost worries and stalled results early, while patients are still on treatment.

Primary care and chronic disease

Monthly check-ins for patients managing several conditions, between scheduled visits.

Community health centers

Social-needs screening alongside clinical check-ins, so barriers like transport and cost are visible.

Women's health and behavioral health

New medications where side effects and early drop-off matter. We build the program with you.

Security and privacy

We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every client.

Patient information is protected by design, not added later. Your data is yours, and only the people you choose can see it.

  • Each clinic's data is kept separate from every other clinic's
  • We collect only what care requires
  • Reports use patient IDs, not names
  • Small groups are hidden in reports so no one can be singled out
  • A full record of who changed what, and when

Who we are

Founded by pharmacists who saw the gap firsthand.

Again and again, we watched treatments get prescribed and then disappear from view. Effectiv exists so care teams can see what happens next.

Questions

Common questions

Do patients need to download an app?

No. Patients get a link by text or email and answer in their phone's browser. There's no app and no password.

How much time does it take my staff?

Check-ins and reminders go out automatically, and a pharmacist reviews flagged answers. Your team works from a single queue sorted by urgency, so their time goes to the patients who need follow-up.

Who reviews the alerts?

A clinical pharmacist on the Effectiv team reviews flagged answers. Your care team sees every alert, who reviewed it, and when.

Can we use our own questions?

Yes. Start from a ready-made program and change the questions, schedule and alert rules to match how your clinic works.

How fast can we get started?

It depends on your setup, but most clinics can be up and running in a few weeks. We set up your programs and branding, and import your patients from a spreadsheet. The longest step is usually registering text messaging with the phone carriers (A2P 10DLC registration), which is required before check-ins can go out by text.

Is patient data protected?

Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every client, keep each clinic's data separate, and collect only what care requires.
